Coach Tamer Tahoun is a two-time Olympic fencer, Olympic-level Head Coach, and serves as the Head Coach of Premier Fencing Club. Tamer is a member of the Team USA coaching staff, and recent achievements of his pupils tell the story best, and include two World Championships Gold medals, and bronze in the Youth Olympic Games Buenos Aires 2018 and many World and National medals. Prior to founding Premier Fencing Club, he served as the Egypt National Foil Team Coach and coached the Egyptian Youth Olympic Team at the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore 2010. Accomplished athlete, Tahoun held the Egypt National Champion title from 1999 to 2008, fenced in Olympic Games in Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004 with top 15 finish, and has won numerous medals in the World Cups and Grand Prix as well as five African Championships individual Gold medals. Tamer is an FIE International Referee in Foil and Epee.
Andrea Zhao is the Saber Head Coach at Premier Fencing Club. She joined Premier Fencing Club family in 2017. Coach Zhao has 23 Years of Professional Training in Sports Education and Sports Psychology. She was China’s National Level Fencing Referee and Coach, China’s National Fencing Team Member. She received China’s National Top Athlete Award. She earned 3rd place in the Asian Games, and 1st place in Sabre Team Event. She was also China’s National Youth Team Fencing Coach. Coach Zhao has multiple international and national fencing awards. Her students won multiple national fencing titles. Coach Zhao is dedicated to the sport of Fencing and supporting her students’ lifelong learning and passion.
Coach Mahmoud Elshall is the Epee Head Coach at Premier Fencing Club. He was the Epee coach for Nasr City Fencing Club in Cairo from 2010-2012 (Senior, Junior, Cadet ( Men and Women)), the National Team Coach (Epee) for the Egyptian Fencing Federation, the Head Coach for the Egyptian Fencing Club, and the El-Gezira Club, Epee Coach for Senior, Junior, Cadet (Men and Women). Mahmoud was an Egyptian Junior National Champion from 2006 up to 2008, and a member of the Egyptian National Fencing Team for Epee from 2002 up to 2008.
